The external seams and the effects of the fabric are unique and different for each jacket, as they are made from the original parachute. The parachutes of the Italian Army are used both for the launch of men, food and materials during exercises and during peace missions abroad. After making about 140 launches in the skies around the world, for safety reasons, the parachute is "demilitarized", that is, the ropes and hooks that connect the sail to the man are cut, and the parachute is definitively decommissioned. It is the moment in which we take the Folgore parachutes and cut out, one by one, our SKY JACKET, after having coupled them with innovative technical fabrics, which make them elastic and waterproof. Each of them has a story and with them relives the activity of the parachute from which they were derived. Parachutes have a Serial Number that is attached to each individual leader. Our SKY JACKETS were made using parachutes used in the skies of Iraq, Kosovo and Somalia for the launch of men and in the skies of Afghanistan and Kurdistan for the launch of materials. The items we produce are therefore numbered with the Serial Number of the parachute and with the indication of the area of the world where the parachute has crossed the skies. The extension of the sail is about 75 square meters: from each sail you can get from 6 to 8 jackets. In addition to the absolute uniqueness of the garment, the technical characteristics of the fabric, precisely the "parachute canvas", allow us to create very light, comfortable, waterproof and practically indestructible garments.
